With updated government and FA guidance on restart of grassroots football activities, we are now looking to begin limited training sessions again !!!
As I’m sure you can appreciate, taking a training session of up to 6 people isn’t quite that same as a club of some 400 players resuming training on a Saturday morning – so please work with us and respect the limitations we are under at this moment.
We have made arrangement with Bishops Cleeve Parish Council about limited access to the parish Sportsfield on weekends and in midweek.
We have agreements, on a team by team basis, with Bishops Cleeve Football Club for limited access to training space there.
However, we do not assume availability to us of those facilities without consent and agreement of their owners/operators.
We all need to respect the limitations in place to assure continued access.
We have conducted a risk assessment to guide re-start of activities, which has been shared with our volunteers and local officials, and have produced guidance on access to and use of the Sportsfield. This will mean co-ordination between many teams (we have about 30!) so please work with your team managers to find times to use these facilities that can work for everyone.
FA Guidance for parents and carers can also be found online:
There will no requirement to restart training under these conditions, if our volunteers feel uncomfortable or unable to resume with your team, please respect their decision. Likewise, if you or your children feel uncomfortable restarting, let your team manager know, there is no requirement to join in.
Aside from any residual risk to BCC FC volunteers, players, and their parents/carers and families, we would always want to maintain confidence in our resuming training activity just now, from all parties; our own volunteers, the players, their parents/carers and the owners/operators of the facilities we use.
Thank you for your understanding.
