Cheltenham Youth Football League (CYFL) have opted to take part in a trial approved by Gloucestershire FA and The FA, to remove heading from youth football at U12 and younger at groups. Heading has already been barred from youth football training, and this trial now bars it from competition fixtures. The trial and associated changes to the laws of football are explained in the notices from the The FA linked below. The notice for parents is shown directly below that.
How this will work in practice is yet to be seen - it is a trial after all. If you have questions or concerns, particularly after an incident in a competition game, please talk to your team manager, who can pass that information to the club, and we in turn to CYFL and the County FA.
